ORANGE
I'VE READ FOR YEARS THAT THE
WORD ORANGE CONNOT BE RHYMED.
Is that really so?
What about this poem?
I WAS CONFIDENTIALLY TOLD.
THAT MY DOOR HINGE WAS GOLD.
TO AVOID THE GRIEF,
CAUSED BY A THIEF.
I DISGUISED IT WITH DYE,
SO TO THE UNTRAINED EYE,
IT DOESN'T APPEAR THIEVABLE,
THOUGH IT SOUNDS UNBELIEVABLE,
MY DOOR HINGE
IS NOW ORANGE.

U OOOOO
The same pundits continue to say:
THE WORD PURPLE CANNOT BE RHYMED.
Do you believe this?
What about this poem ?
VIOLETS ARE PURPLE
HOTCAKES NEED SWEET
MAPLE SYRUP'LL
DO 'EM UP NEAT

U OOO
Two other words in the English language
have the reputation of being un-rhymable.
They are: MONTHS
----------and SILVER
Do you think this is really true?
Can you rhyme them?
Is it a coincidence
that all four "so-called"
un-rhymable words have six letters?
